Honestly, very disappointed in the quality of this one. Your social media and website advertise this to be a very vibrant green, and super high-quality, which is why I bought it. However this product actually quite a dull green, and is not taste like a very high-quality matcha, feels like quite a waste of $30.

This matcha was lacking the umami note i expected but as usucha and koicha it’s still very delicious, really vegetal and bright with natural sweetness and just a touch of umami and gentle bitterness and astringency. Also it’s insanely bright green and smells super grassy! It doesn’t really stand up as a latte as the flavours are too subtle so any milk dilutes the flavour notes quite a bit.

You pay for what you get at Maison Koko. If you want the cheaper stuff that’s all well and good but if you want the premo stuff and know your matchas then this place gives you the variety to choose. I love my ceremonial matcha! Just wish I didn’t go through it so fast 🤣🤣

I received the order today. Disappointed with the courier company, Aramex, that Maison Koko used.
The package was left on my front porch by the delivery man without any courtesy to ring my door bell or knock on my door. I was at home all the time since morning after receiving the text message about the parcel arriving.
As matcha is very sensitive to sunlight and temperature, the parcel was very warm when I opened it. My camera shows that the package had been sitting on my bright and sunny porch for at least 3 hours as I did not received any follow up any text messages about it being successfully delivered.
I know this is not Maison Koko's fault, but the courier company could have been cautioned about this.
