Pretty excited to try Ato mukashi. My matcha preference - as a latte.
This better be good, l told myself as it's more pricey than my usual Saemidori cultivar. Upon opening the packet, l was drawn to the deep dark green colour. On my first sip, l was introduced to a rich and creamy velvety base which coats my tongue, followed by the deep rich umami, nutty creaminess and gentle natural sweetness. Every taste described above seemed to sync in perfect harmony. A very complex taste and l hope did justice in describing its complexity. No bitter after-taste. Highly unlikely to be available from your local cafรฉs. Give it a go as you'll not be disappointed!
