Steeping Suggestions

Put 2g of Ceremonial Matcha (for a lighter tea) or 4g (for a stronger tea) into 60-70 mL of hot water (70-80ºC).
Whisk in the matcha until fully dissolved and foamy.
Add more water and sweetener if desired.
Enjoy it hot or cold with your choice of dairy or non-dairy alternative.

Very disappointed in this matcha. Poor colour and does not dissolve well. Still has grainy texture once whisked. Have had many different matcha and this ain’t it.

I am converted from coffee!!

Wow, I think any previous Matcha must have been poor quality as I never loved it. Until Maison Koko ceremonial grade first harvest that is. This has now replaced with ease my morning coffee and I am so happy. The taste is buttery smooth and so delicious. I highly recommend this product.

i just received my matcha today and tried it…. i mean the color is nice but the milk easily overpowers the taste of matcha even though i went with 4g of matcha and mine is the ceremonial. one of their best.i really am disappointed. 52 dollars down the drain

Our 1st Harvest Ceremonial Matcha is shade-grown and handpicked in Yame, Japan, and designed to be naturally smooth, vibrant, and low in bitterness – a hallmark of higher-quality matcha. That said, non-bitter matcha can sometimes feel milder in milk-based drinks, especially if you're used to the sharper taste of more astringent or lower-grade matcha.

This is actually a common experience when transitioning to higher-quality ceremonial matcha, which is traditionally made for usucha (thin tea) and appreciated for its delicate, clean finish. If you're looking for a bolder matcha taste in lattes, we recommend using more.

The best matcha I’ve come across

You pay for what you get at Maison Koko. If you want the cheaper stuff that’s all well and good but if you want the premo stuff and know your matchas then this place gives you the variety to choose. I love my ceremonial matcha! Just wish I didn’t go through it so fast 🤣🤣
