We just started using matcha at our cafe and our so pleased we chose Maison Koko. Within the first week we had 2 reviews from customers saying it was the best matcha they had had outside of Japan.

big time matcha fan? try something else

This matcha powder is quite weak and any flavour is easily drowned out by the added sugar and the milk you add. For the price I was left really disappointed :(

Beautiful Matcha

This is an excellent and beautiful matcha. It has a slightly 'sweet', nutty flavour and a beautiful green colour. It pairs well with anything (I particularly like it with homemade earl grey syrup). It's quite expensive so not a daily matcha for me but I really enjoy it whenever I have it.

Ok if you're adding flavouring

I've tried quite a few matchas from MK and this is definitely my least favourite. The colour is quite a dull green and the flavour is ok. This is my 3rd time ordering this matcha and the quality wasn't great on this last batch (30th June 2025). However if you're making a strawberry matcha or similar and drink matcha daily and want to save some money it's fine. However I'd recommend the 1st Harvest matcha instead as a daily drink.

The flavor is just as delicious as ceremonial grade matcha—smooth, rich, and not bitter—but it’s already lightly blended with sugar, which makes it super convenient. It’s more affordable than pure ceremonial matcha since it’s diluted, but keep in mind that you’ll need to use a bit more powder per latte, so while you save money, it’s not that dramatic. The color isn’t as vibrant green as a pure ceremonial matcha, but it’s still pretty good. Overall, it’s perfect for everyday matcha lattes with that sweet touch.
