unfortunately, not as good as the everyday blend

unfortunately, was very disappointed by the signature blend. couldn’t froth up no matter what (tried once with room temp water and once with warm water), matcha was very grainy.

everytime i buy matcha from this company its so grainy its almost undrinkable. i feel like im drinking sand flavoured matcha. at first, i thought it was because i ordered a lower quality, non ceremonial pack, so then i ordered this one and experienced the same exact thing. for some reason, ive never found another review saying this, so maybe i have really bad luck. i can only make a drink with one tsp of maison kokos matcha powder because even 2 tsps makes it so extremely hard to drink due to the powder’s texture

It’s okay.

This is a review for the Ceremonial Matcha (Signature Blend) for 2025.

Pros
+ Grassy, seaweed like aroma once mixed with 80C water.
+ Tastes pretty vegetal, light and fresh.
+ Price is average for a 1st harvest. Not expensive, not super cheap.

Cons
- The powder is a lime green.
- I whisked fast for 1 minute but had minimal foam as a result. For context, tea ceremonies whisk matcha for half that time while still producing fuller micro-foam.
- Visible grainy texture once mixed with milk and ice. I could also feel the slight graininess on my tongue.

The cons left me disappointed as the quality is not as good as previous matcha I’ve purchased from Maison Koko at a similar price point - the Ceremonial Matcha (1st harvest) which had much micro-foam and smoothness. The caffeine and antioxidant boost is still appreciated. It’s a solid 3 stars.
