🍯 2 tbsp brown sugar
💧 ½ cup water

Matcha Milk Tea

🍵 1½ tsp high-quality matcha powder
💧 50 ml hot water (not boiling, about 175°F or 80°C)
🥛 2 cups milk of choice (oat, almond, soy, or dairy)
🍯 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)
🧂 ½ tsp vanilla extract
🧊 1 cup ice

Directions

Step 1

Cook the Tapioca Pearls: Bring a small pot of water to a boil. Add the tapioca pearls and cook according to the package instructions (usually 10–15 minutes).

Drain and transfer to a small bowl. Stir in brown sugar and water, letting the pearls soak for at least 5 minutes for sweetness.

Make the Matcha Tea: In a small bowl, sift matcha powder to remove lumps. Add hot water and whisk using a bamboo whisk or frother until frothy.
