Seriously delicious & closest match to what I find at those swanky cafes that sell matcha latte in tiny, tiny cup serves for at least $10. At least NOW I can enjoy it in my bigger mug, custom to my tastes & at the fraction of the cost. 1st time buy was during the recent Black Friday Sales; got myself x2 100g bags thinking that's a safe bet.. finished those off in less than a week & dived right in for the 1kg bag! Partner thinks it'll take me forever to finish it off.. I will likely prove them wrong LOL.
The sweetness is Just Right (unlike other competitors where they're overly & unnecessarily sweet), matcha umami taste is smooth, frothes nicely & very nice green. MK's Matcha Latte mix is my Happy Go-between; I still want to have my matcha taste experience & have it as part of my morning & 3pm arvo breaks / rituals, but often I'm too pressed for time to sift it, manually froth it etc (totally respect those who see this as their self-time sacred ritual ) .. MK's Matcha Latte mix is forgiving enough that you don't need to sift it & I use their frother to set up my quick fix. Overall, I'm one matcha-lovin' Happy Camper!

tastes pretty spicy/chai-y which is nice but we tried making the chai multiple ways and it’s still grainy :/

The graininess you mentioned can sometimes happen if the powder isn’t fully dissolved, especially when the water or milk isn’t quite hot enough. A quick tip that usually helps: mix the powder with a small splash of hot water first to make a smooth paste, then add the rest of your milk or water. This usually removes any texture. Quite bitter, not the ceremonial grade uji matcha I was expecting

Our Ceremonial Matcha (Uji Blend) is more of a mid-range ceremonial grade, so its profile is naturally a little stronger and more earthy compared to the sweeter, ultra-smooth grades you may have been expecting. If you prefer a softer, sweeter flavour, we’d recommend trying our Premium Ceremonial Matcha (Gold Award) or our Pinnacle Grade Organic Match. These are both sourced from Yame, a region known for its naturally sweeter, smoother matcha. If you’d like, we’re more than happy to help you choose the best matcha for your taste.
For the money it is excellent. I like other higher grade matcha that Maison Koko has but I drink a lot of matcha every day for medicinal reasons and the best stuff is a bit hard to afford in this volume for me. It's pretty good strong or weak, I put a bit of salt and MCT oil to smooth it out. It was something I was looking for, for a long time.

Love the signature it’s perfect for latte, just the right amount of umami and nutty notes as expected from a good quality smooth Yame. Though as an Usucha, it may be too bitter on its own. The matcha really shines with latte.
At this price point for 100g, it’s not too bad. One thing I hope they’ll improve is the bag it comes with. It’s a ziplock bag, but I found it didn’t close very tightly. Comparing to a tin, ziplock bag do not have the same air tight seal.
Do prepare to put the matcha bag in an airtight container to be assured and prevent moisture and oxidation. Hope they’ll advise that on the bag or improve on the seal especially when bought in huge amounts.
